![]() If i still get the hiss and hum? Is it possible my power power has bad wiring? It was bought from ALDI so I suppose that tends to suggest its probably not the best. Have today put them all on the same power board. Nothing in your setup looks particularly heavy on power so it shouldn’t cause an overload issue, I have a pair of turntables, a pair of integrated amplifiers, a Mac mini, monitor, printer, mixing desk and a pair of lamps all going into a 10 gang power bar at the minute going into a single 13 amp socket at the minute and am not having any issues, all in all it comes in at about 850w so about 3.5amps In simple terms a ground loop is created when you have your sources connected to different plug sockets, there by creating a loop antenna with part of your household mains wiring forming part of a loop antenna and your hifi connections forming the other part, so the easiest ways to eliminate a ground loop is to make sure your sources are connected to the same socket if possible, thus cutting part of the loop and removing the need for a ground loop isolator. I have tried a lot of things to rid the ground loop issue and the only thing thats fixed it is the Ground Loop Isolator so it would be ideal to still have one but not if its going to start affecting how my recordings come out from vinyl. Is this true? If so, is there a workaround? Maybe a Ground Loop Isolator for Audiophiles or something? ![]() The whole purpose of buying the Blue Jeans cable was to keep put a stop to the high pitched frequency sounds when recording but I feel its possible a Ground Loop Isolator would undo all of this? Especially the cheap one like I got. Have been reading a few horror stories online about how Ground Loop Isolators can affect the sound quality frequencies :o It did fix it between the Preamp and the Audio Interface (M Audio Audiophile) Ground Loop Isolator was not used between TT and Preamp (Because that didn't fix it) Have always had to use a Ground Loop Isolator to eliminate an annoying sound. Preamp to PC is RCA (But just regular RCA and nothing fancy) RCA to Preamp (From Turntable) is a Low Capacitance Blue Jeans LC-1 Cable.Īudio Interface: M Audio Firewire Audiophile (Connected to PC via Firewire)
